Gute Chemie New Organozinc Reagents 2 | 3 Gute Chemie. New Organozinc Reagents for Organic Synthesis. Organozinc reagents can be applied in cross coupling reactions with many electrophiles in the presence of Cu(I) or Pd(0) catalysts. The organozinc compounds can be prepared from highly reactive zinc and aromatic, heteroaromatic, vinylic, or aliphatic halides by insertion of the metal into the carbon-halogen bond. As a great advantage over Grignard or organolithium reagents, organozinc compounds tolerate functional groups like esters and nitriles.
